Who Are We?Hudson Valley Technology and Commerce (HVT&C) is a non-profit membership-based business association. Our mission is to facilitate the emergence of the mid-Hudson Valley as a nationally competitive high-tech corridor. We hope to expand I.T. business and employment opportunities, maintain and create a sustainable and balanced economy, and help foster a high quality of life for everyone who lives in this region. Our members represent corporations, small businesses and individuals. We live and work in the Hudson Valley, and utilize technology to conduct business in many ways, from global e-commerce to email marketing, software design, product manufacturing, artistic endeavors – and more! We’re creative, entrepreneurial, focused on the future, eager to share what we know, interested in learning new things . . . does this sound like you? What Do We Do?Our well-attended events have earned us a reputation as an eclectic, informative and lively organization. We’re interested in a wide range of technology issues that affect everyone in the Hudson Valley: past events have featured presentations and discussions on cell phone towers, WiFi, voter fraud, GPS, publishing in the digital age, geothermal heating/cooling, virtual communities, cybercrime, intellectual property law . . . and much more! If you’re already on our email list, you know we’ve recently elected a new Board President, Ric Dragon, and are gearing up for a major mid-September 2006 event. We’ll be hosting four to six major events in the coming year, and a few smaller networking meetings too. Sign up today, if you haven’t done so already, to get all the info and learn more about us! Ready to get involved right now?We know you’re busy – all of us are too – so we’re a group that requires minimal time commitment. At HVT&C meetings, you’ll get to know like-minded business and technology leaders in the Hudson Valley and stay up to date on the latest technology issues. We like to get together every once in a while, face-to-face, for events. Right now, we’re brainstorming like mad to plan a few powerhouse events for the next few months. We’re looking for enthusiastic people to take part in , , , or to join our Board of Directors. If you’d like to find out more about how you can contribute your ideas and expertise to the HVT&C group effort, please get in touch today. We look forward to hearing from you!
